I've got toys, they're multiplying...

... and I'm losing control
(think "Grease")

Well, it's a little late, but here it is. We had a big birthday party for Matthew, and it was a good time.

Hanging out with cousins.

Dinosaur Cake, yum!

Look at how many people came to celebrate!

Toys, toys, toys...

... and more toys!

One other update... Matthew definately understands a few words now. If we say "eat," he goes over to his high chair. If we say "go get your rat," he goes and gets his rat! We're so proud :)

On the Road...

It's been a while since our last post, and we've done quite a bit of travelling.

First we drove to Arkansas to attend Chris' Wedding. It was a very nice wedding and Mandy, Dan and Matthew hung out at the "kid's" table with Eli, Jamie and their two kids. It was a good time :) and Matthew handled the trip well. We wish the Chris and Yanira the best!!

The next weekend, we flew out to Denver for another Chris' wedding. Again, another beautiful wedding and best wishes Chris and Danette!

We also got to spend some time with Aunt Julie, Uncle Andy and cousins Lia and Ryen.

We went to the zoo...

Look at all those monkeys ;)

And we drove out to Rocky Mountain National Park for some beautiful scenery, if our darn heads weren't in the way ;)

Matthew was very good on the plane both ways, sleeping the way there and having a good time with the snake toy that Aunt Julie gave him on the way home.

The next weekend, we stayed home and had a party for Mandy and Grandpa Bob's birthdays. We also had a bonus that Cousins Glenn, Megan and Hazel drove up from Indianapolis for the party, so we celebrated for Hazel's birthday too, while we were at it :) It was a Halloween theme.

Check out another monkey! :)

And Charlie Brown...

One Small Step...

On Friday, Matthew took his first unassisted steps (not on purpose). The door he was holding on to closed without him... and he took a couple of steps to keep from falling. And then he fell.

On Sunday, he took his first intentional unassisited steps... We cought some of these on video:

Theres no turning back now...
